Mary is based in the United Kingdom, bringing an international perspective and geographically nuanced candidate reach to our search process.

With more than 24 years’ executive search experience, Mary has established a strong track record in non-executive, executive and academic appointments with a particular expertise in higher education, research, culture, government, and non-profit search.

Mary commenced her executive search career with a UK-based international search firm. Most recently working as an independent research consultant, Mary has collaborated with headhunting firms and directly with universities across leadership and professional services roles, as well as non-executive appointments.

Mary has wide-ranging interests and engagement in education. Her PhD from the University of Witwatersrand was on university policy in South Africa during apartheid. She has taught in universities, and she has been a school governor with responsibility for disability.

Mary holds a Doctor of Philosophy, and a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education from University College London.
